InterMixx Hotline Server is Online!

The InterMixx Hotline Client is a simple and elegant application that enables the user to connect to the InterMixx Hotline Server, chat with other users, read and post news, and simultaneously transfer files with speed and ease. All this is presented in a user-friendly and polished interface. The Client incorporates cutting-edge features such as resumable downloads and uploads, private personal messaging, news, and real-time chat. The Client multi-tasks seamlessly, even while the user is checking e-mail, browsing the web, or running other applications in the background or foreground.

Directions to getting and using Hotline


To download the Client - go to Hotline's site and choose click the download now button. Choose PC or Macintosh.

A PC .exe or Macintosh .hqx file will be downloaded to your machine.

PC users double click the .exe file and accept the defaults - Hotline is now installed.

Mac users, the file should automatically be unstuffed and an installer should appear in your download folder. If it doesn't automatically unstuff drag the .hqx file onto stuffit expander. Now double click the installer and accept the defaults - Hotline is now installed.

Find the Hotline application and double click it (PC users will find it in the start -> programs menu). Enter a username to use (your own name is fine) and then select an icon to represent you. Finally click disagree when it logs you into hotline's own server to disconnect.

Hit the SERVERSbutton on the toolbar. In the new servers window click the button with the two arrows pointing away from each other (CONNET TO SERVER). In the window which appears, where it says SERVER, type intermixx.eyep.net Leave LOGIN and PASSWORD blank until your account has been setup. You can click the SAVE button here and save it in the folder called Bookmarks within your Hotline Client folder.

Hit your "Enter" or "Return" key and you will log in to our server as a Guest! Click "Agree" on the Agreement panel that pops up.

Experiment with the button bar to see what you can do

"Options" lets you change your name and choose an icon

"Files" lets you see the MP3s and other files available to all Guests. Just double click and they quickly download into a special Hotline Downloads folder located inside your Hotline Client folder (make a shortcut for it!)

"Online Users" lets you see who is online at InterMixx. Double click their name to send a private message.

"Chat" lets you chat publically with all other users currently online at InterMixx.

"Tasks" lets you check on the progress of anything you are doing, and stop or start them.
